Sandi,, , Based on the information you have given me I can think of a couple ways to do what you want. As I see it, there are two parts to this puzzle. 1) You need to get the member's information from your Paradox database to the web site and 2) Your members need a way to identify who they are, to the website, and then retrieve their member information., , First, let's talk about getting the data from Paradox to the web site. The simplest way to ...

    C# Introduction and Overview
For the past two decades, C and C++ have been the most widely used languages for developing commercial and business software. While both languages provide the programmer with a tremendous amount of fine-grained control, this flexibility comes at a cost to productivity. Compared with a language such as Microsoft« Visual Basic«, equivalent C and C++ applications often take longer to develop. Due to the complexity and long cycle times associated wit...

    Delphi Programmers Take Heart
The father of Turbo Pascal and Delphi, Anders Hejlsberg, is also the architect of Microsoft's new language C#. The similarities of C# to Delphi are just uncanny. While COM was always a chore in C++ and unbelievably limiting in VB, Delphi really put MS to shame with its built-in language support for interfaces and rich hierarchy of classes you could descend from to create any type of COM object you wanted., , Delphi has always been the answer to t...

Well, being a Delphi programmer from when it was first out, I was leery at first to move away from Borland's Products for development. After doing abit of reading up on it (as well as finding out that Anders was a lead man) I have got to say that I am actually looking forward to adding the C# environment to my programming skills. It also gives me a reason to actually install Win2K on my workstation since it won't run on Windows98., , ----------...

clicking on blob field erases content.
Database with 14K entries is back up to a corrupted database with loss of data. Repair shows no corruption. Working currently on Vista (Vista issues clear). Trying to open the blob files contents to rebuild the original deletes individual blob field contents permanently (leaving record and revisiting or closing file and reopening shows the records accessed without their stored objects). I keep hoping someone has an idea about this. it is most lik...

    Loss of Blob Field entries.
I doubt there is a resolution for this, but if anyone knows the cause, it would be a starHave a large (near 1GB) database which stores resumes in a blob field. Several days ago I noticed that a resume was missing - this happened a few times recently, but was not a great problem. I tried to open it and received a message, "blob has been modified." The Database froze and needed to be shut down forcibly. (I know, it's not good).  Revisiting the...

Reading Paradox tables from Access 2007
I have an Access application that imports data from Paradox tables in an existing, external application (Timeslips by Sage). App was originally written in Access 2003 and I was able to link to several Paradox tables and read them successfully (no update is required). We upgraded to Access 2007 and the existing Paradox links work just fine but I have been unable to create new read-only links to more of the Timeslips' Paradox tables. The new Import...
