I don't know much about eXtreme Programming (XP), but from what I've read, it seems interesting. How does it compare to PSDP?

XP is intereting and I do recomend that you read and study it. However, I think it goes too far in several areas. For example, it "attempts" to claim to throw out process in favor of talent and then presents a new process heavy in planning. I do like that it drills into a JAD/RAD type approach (very acceptable) and is iterative centric (like PSDP).

XP is also way too negative. Every article and book I read about XP portrays other processes as "wrong" and worse. The Unified Process for example can work quite well in the right hands and for very large projects. XP targets smaller projects and doesn't address very large projects (it doesn't scale up). XP is for smaller projects and RUP is for very large projects. However, that doesn't prevent the authors of XP to beat up on RUP (it's too bad too because it has good elements).

XP came about because RUP and OOSP don't scale down very well and are ambiguous on the issue of scale. PSDP offers clear iteration paths to handle scalability.
