MaskEdit

rt
Castel, -- UK
Hi
Back again. Could some kind soul give me an example of code which would transform a DBEdit box into something which would do the same as a MaskEdit box - say as an example if it were to give a date mask somethinglike 28\10\67.
True to form Mr Delphi offers several help pages but not one example! I
It seems rather strange that a DB version of the maskEdit box is not a standard omponent.

Thanks very much. There are actually two maskedits (one for V3\4 and a V5) and I have downloaded them both for luck!
But, guess what.. I cannnot get the V3\4 to install. It either tells me it cannot find the file in the specified path (where it actually is) or it says that it will install but then decided it cannot because it can't find the .PAS file - which is not surprising as there is only a .DCU with the download - this bit just seems like a standard type of message, but how to get over it?
Any ideas? Could you give me a blow by blow rundown of installing this thing in case I'm doing something stupid? Eek!
