We can either notify you prior to using up all your pre-paid hours or we can automatically bill for the next pre-payment amount as your hours are used up. Work is based on a per hour basis plus any material out of the ordinary. Almost all IT consulting firms and agencies (body shops), DO NOT publish their rates. Why? So they can charge one customer more than another. Prestwood believes that the beginning of good customer relations starts with honesty, and that includes letting the customer know up-front what to expect. Our rates are fair and published.

Weekly Billing: For Time and Material billing, we bill weekly. Weekly billing has the benefit of increased communication (you always know how much you are spending).

Regular and Other Rates

You select your Regular Rate based on the payment terms you want. Once your Regular Rate is established, you can still get big discounts by purchasing Pre-Paid Regular Rate hours in our online store or by sending us a check.

In addition to your Regular Rate, we also have an Emergency Rate, a Travel Rate, and Mike's Rate. The Emergency Rate is double the Regular Rate for pre-authorized emergency work. The Travel Rate is $55 per hour for travel to and from your place of business. Finally, Mike's Rate is $225 for project reviews.

• Regular Rate applies to but is not limited to coding, project management, analysis, design, testing, deployment, technical writing, and training and is based on your selected payment rate and terms.
  
• $55 Travel Rate applies to any pre-authorized travel time incurred commuting to the Client’s place of business.
  
• Double Emergency Rate applies to emergency work pre-authorized by both the Client and Company and in general is work that cannot wait for the Company’s current workflow queue.
  
• $225 Mike’s Rate applies specifically and only to design sessions, GUI reviews, documentation reviews, and project reviews performed by Mike Prestwood.

For most of our projects, the Regular Rate is used for the vast majority of work.

FAQ:

• Can I pay with a check?
  Yes, when you checkout, specify offline order.
   
• When does my pre-paid rate start?
  The same day we receive payment.

The Fine Print:

• To take advantage of this offer, you MUST use our online store to purchase pre-paid hours.
   
• Any pre-paid money will be applied to any unpaid balance at the rate of the invoice prior to applying remaining money to new work. This means you may want to first pay any outstanding balance prior to purchasing pre-paid hours.
   
• You must schedule the start of the work within one year of date of purchase.
   
• Pre-paid hours expire one year after purchase date. This means you must use up all pre-paid hours within one year of the date of purchase. No refunds on pre-paid hours.
   
• The pre-paid support hours apply to any work done on or after the date of purchase. Sorry, pre-paid hours do NOT apply to past work.
   
• To receive the continuous rate, all resources assigned must be allowed to use the hours continuously as their schedule allows. You should assume you need to assign work based on continuous 8 hour a days, five days a week) and you must assign and authorize enough work for them to work continuously.
   
• If you do not have continuous work or if you fail to provide continuous work, remaining balance from that point will be applied to the next highest "use anytime" rate. For example, if you pre-pay for 120 hours at the prepaid rate of $81 per hour. We start the work and then you stop the work after just a few hours. The rate raises to the appropriate use anytime rate (for example $88 per hour). We will still honor your retainer.
   

• For certain work requiring highly specialized personnel or technology, Prestwood reserves the right, with your approval, to charge appropriately for such expertise.
   

• We reserve the right to refuse the selling of pre-paid hours to anyone for any reason. If we refuse your order, we will refund your money.

Credit Terms (Weekly Invoicing)

Upon credit approval, we can set up terms. With our invoicing option, we may ask for a deposit up front of roughly 25% of the estimated total project. (Deposit will be determined based on project size and your credit rating.) Under some circumstances, we may be willing to negotiate a lower rate based on the type of work, amount of work, our availability,  and whether or not you're looking for a long term relationship with Prestwood.

**We don't like monthly invoicing because we feel weekly invoicing aids with communication. However, we can accommodate it if required. Monthly invoicing is available at the regular rates of $118 for Net 20, $124 for Net 30, and $132 for Net 45.
