Prestwood Writing Suite 1.5 Now Shipping
Rich text support, instant spell mode, new hotkeys, and much more.
SACRAMENTO, CA -- June 1, 2000 -- Today Prestwood started shipping version PWS 1.5 which includes updates to TraySuite and PrestoEdit. The single user price is $49.95 and site licenses and volume discounts are available. Version 1.5 is a free upgrade for current registered PWS users.
New 1.5 features include the following:
Rich Text Support
Tray Suite now more accurately spell checks working applications which use Rich Text, such as WordPad, Outlook and Outlook Express.
Instant Spell, with Active Spell
Quick way to type a single word and instantly see if it is misspelled, as indicated by the red squiggly underline. Instant Spell is intended to be used for quickly spell checking a word or a few words, however it is a mini-editor and can perform the basic Rich Text Editor functions.

Better Use of the ClipBoard
Changed the behavior of the Spell Check Dialog, it now attempts to avoid the ClipBoard (unless you have the ClipBoard set to full screen). This better avoids the text you are spell checking in the ClipBoard, allowing you to more easily view the text as you spell check.
New Hotkeys
The new Tray Suite completely changes the internal way it stores and handles its HotKeys and enhances the number of combinations available. You can now use many new and different combinations, see below for the complete list or look in the HotKey combobox on Preferences.
New Default HotKeys
Definitions (Application) = Ctrl + Alt + F6
Spell Check (Application) = Ctrl + Alt + F7
Thesaurus (Application) = Ctrl + Alt + F8
Open Editor = Ctrl + Alt + F5
Definitions (ClipBoard) = Ctrl + Alt + F9
Spell Check (ClipBoard) = Ctrl + Alt + F10
Thesaurus (ClipBoard) = Ctrl + Alt + F11
Open Instant Spell = Ctrl + Alt + F12
HotKeys now can use 107 different keys, in addition to CTRL, SHIFT, ALT and WIN

Included among the new features to the developer editor included with PWS are the following:
File | Printing Options | Mono Print
Prints current file in monochrome, any color specifications will be ignored and the text will be printed as black text on a white background. All text styles (Bold, Italic etc.) will still be applied.

The Edit button on the General Options' Filters
Highlighting Schemes tab correctly opens the proper Highlighting Scheme.
Right-click menu
Now properly shows when the Right-click keyboard key is pressed. Right-click menu now shows if the EditTab's tab is clicked.
No Printer Installed Fix
Fixed a problem when EditorPro was run on a computer which has no Printer. EP now ignores the fact that no printer is installed.
