Description
Paradox 7 book on developing Windows 95 and NT applications with Paradox 7. This
book, sample applications, and utilities is geared toward developers and is centered
around teaching how to build an application using ObjectPAL.
The CD includes soft copies of the appendices, souce code from the book, many
applications, utilities, and sample Paradox objects. Among the sample Paradox applications
and utilities is an invoicing system, Paradox Desktop Light 3.0, a script to deliver
all objects in a directory, and Prestwood's Data Dictionary.
The CD includes several commercial applications including EditPro v3.5 from EditPro
Corporation (a $180.00 value), DataTable Spreadsheet/Grid Control v2.5 from ProtoView
Development (a $149.00 value).
The CD also includes a demo version of Crystal Reports Professional, Eschalon
Setup Pro, EZ-Install, HelpBreeze, InfoPower, Interactive Diagramming Object, Lead
Tools, Level5 Object Professional, Paradox Informant Works 1995, Parastat for Windows,
PC-Charge, Sax Setup Wizard, and SylvanMaps/OCX.
System Requirements
All author code and examples in this book were created using Paradox 7. To run
the sample projects, you may need to have Paradox 7 installed for them to work.
Paradox 7 is a new product. Many of the third-party programs on this CD-ROM were
developed for Paradox 5. Fortunately, a high degree of compatibility exists between
the two versions.
However, as with all new programming environments, one hundred percent compatibility
with the past can not be guaranteed. Our objective in assembling the collection
of software on this CD is to acquaint you with leading developers of 3rd party products
for Borland Paradox 7. Should you encounter a compatibility problem, we invite you
