By sending pending HTTP requests to servers with lighter loads or faster throughput, the Prestwood Load Balancer ensures quicker response time for all HTTP calls. Since the Prestwood Load Balancer is configured using I.P. addresses only, it is designed to work with web servers running on any operating system. This includes Microsoft IIS, Apache Web Server and Apache SSL. New with Version 1.1 ============================================ - The Load Balancer now runs as a Service in Windows NT or Windows 2000. - Log messages are now entered in a database (Advantage Database Server), which allows the Load Balancer Service to run independent of interaction with the user or the desktop. - The Load Balancer Manager can be used independent of the NT Service.
