Move Cash Register Data to a Central Location

The purpose of this application is to allow a human operator to designate a schedule of when data updates occur at offsite cash register locations, through dial-up or FTP connections. The application allows the operator to assign the database table where the downloaded register data files will be posted. The application also provides a mechanism for updating offsite cash register data repositories with current copies of the centralized data.

This screen shot shows the form for designating the set of files on the offsite cash register data repositories which should be included in the download batch. There is a separate tab for designating the register files in the central database which need to be uploaded to the register.

This screenshot shows the form where the user sets up the communications parameters for the ProfitTalk workstation.

Store Setup Screen

This screen shot shows the form where the user sets up the characteristics of each store, or offsite location. This screen shot shows the setup fields for a dial-up connection. If the ProfitTalk workstation is set up for FTP communications, this form will show only those fields required for FTP, such as I.P. address and account settings. This form also allows the user to designate how many electronic cash registers exist at the store location.
